      We have about 2 pints of red blood cells, about 50ml of platelets and 2ml of white blood cells. The rest of your blood is made of water, proteins and electrolytes.

      i think if you add all of those numbers up, it’s about 28,000,000,000,000 (28 trillion) cells. that’s the same number as there are drops of water in 100 swimming pools (ish).

      amazing facts from Pete and Simonne there! That’s sooo many blood cells. Did you know that that’s still not as many cells as bacterial cells that live in and on your body doing special jobs to keep you healthy?
      There are about 39 trillion bacteria in/ on your body right now, as you are reading this….woah.
