Hi Tia and Indi, thanks for your question.

I actually think that technology changing quickly can be really helpful for scientists as some inventions allow us to do things much more easily, more accurately or faster. A good example of this is my PCR machines (PCR machines are a bit like photocopiers for DNA, they copy the DNA over and over and over again so that you end up with a lot of it which makes it easier to be analysed), anyway, there are 2 pcr machines in my lab, one is really old and the other is new and quite fancy, the old one takes AGES to “photocopy” my DNA samples as many times as I need it but the new one does it in half the time and the DNA copies are much better too because sometimes the old one goes a bit wonky and doesn’t copy the DNA properly…..I should probably get rid of it really.

Now something I cannot compete with about technology changing is snap chat, I have it but I have no idea how it works. If anyone knows please let me know ha ha.

I hope that answers your question and if you’d like to ask me anything else please just ping me another question 🙂

      Senga

Great question. I try it and if it is not for me then I don’t need it. There will be another app or product just around the corner.
