      Hi 623putk28

      Great question!

When I was younger I wanted to be a Dr but I ended up getting a job instead of going to university after High School. Much later one of my children was very poorly and had to be very brave. I was inspired by all of the Doctors and nurses caring for him and decided that I want to help people too…but without the blood, sick and poop (gross). So I applied to university to do a degree in life sciences, luckily I did quite well at school so they said I could study with them. After 4 years I had a degree and thought it would be cool to be called Dr so I applied to do a PhD and was very lucky to be offered the first PhD I applied for. Now I spend my days in the lab doing loads of cool experiments and I love it!

      Senga 🙂
