      I think I would probably get fired if I made an explosion in the mathematics department!

      not deliberately – i work with bunsen burners a lot though, so sometimes accidents happen. the worst it if you accidentally burn your arm hair though. it really smells.

      no but we have had our laboratory flooded once which could have been a potential explosion.
