• Question: what is your fashion sense like?

      I don’t really have a fashion sense, I just wear whatever clothes I have lying around, haha. The good thing is mathematicians don’t really seem to care what you look like. If I had to dress up smart for work I don’t know what I would do!

      Hi HenryDan

      when I’m at work my fashion sense is kinda boring. Jeans and shirts and flat shoes with my hair tied back because you can’t wear fancy shoes or have your hair down in the lab (for safety).

      On the weekends I like to feel quite girly so I wear make-up, take time with my hair and wear something pretty, especially if we are going to dinner or to meet with friends. If my kids have a sports tournament (and they often do!) I wear comfy clothes like jeans, converse and a hoody. I guess it just depends on our plans at the time.

      Since I wear a lab coat we can wear anything we want. But working for a private hospital they provide us with a suit!

      I tend to wear shirts and jeans to work with a tweed or leather jacket. Some days I’m smart with a tie, others more casual. It’s nice to have the freedom to not wear a uniform
