I don’t think it’s possible now, but who knows what we might be able to do in the future? The other scientists might know more about this than I do.

      Hi The Rowan Tree

oooh this question makes me think of Jurassic park! Bringing back an extinct species. I’m sure it’s probably possible to make something similar to a Dodo if we have Dodo DNA and a species that are very similar to a Dodo (I don’t know how to do that though) but I think my question would be “should we?”. Although Dodos are extinct from hunting I wonder how Dodos would effect the ecosystem that has now changed a bit from when they died out. Would they eat the food that other animals eat and make them extinct? Or would they even be able to survive if their natural habitat had changed a lot.

Sometimes with science, just because you maybe can so something doesn’t mean you necessarily should……it would be seriously cool though!!!!

      Senga 🙂

if you have the DNA of something, then you might be able to bring it back to life. there is an animal called the Pyranean ibex (a sort of goat from spain) that is the only animal to go extinct twice. it died out, and then they managed to bring one back using its DNA. unfortunately the new one died, but i think they’re going to try again soon.
