      the best guess we’ve got at the moment is 4.5 billion years. the first water arrived about 4.4 billion years ago, and the first life was about 4 billion years. it wasn’t until 300 million years ago that dinosaurs were about, and humans only appeared 200,000 years ago.

      that means that if the whole history of the earth as a 24 hour day, humans have only been around for about four seconds of it.
