apparently edinburgh where i live is built on an old volcano, but i don’t think that counts because you can’t see lava or anything. i’ve never been to a volcano for science but i went on holiday to hawaii where there’s loads of volcanos. if you go to the right places you can see lava through cracks in the floor!
No, but I’m going on a research trip to Peru next year with some scientists that study volcanoes so maybe I will convince them to take me up one. We are taking drones too so maybe we could take some cool videos. I’d really like to do that.
I actually live next to a volcano….although in the UK there aren’t any active volcanos anymore. Two famous volcanos are in Scotland; Arthurs Seat and Castle Rock – which is what Edinburgh Castle is actually built on. I think a castle on a volcano is seriously cool. My favourite volcano in Scotland in Glen Coe though, millions of years ago it was a super-volcano. Now Glen Coe is a brilliant place to go snowboarding…I can officially say I have snowboarded down a volcano!
